Henry Morgan Wright, 89, of Emerson, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024, at Elliott County Nursing and Rehabilitation in Sandy Hook.
He was born May 31, 1935, in Letcher County, a son of the late William McKinley and Vina Combs Wright.
Henry was of the Old Regular Baptist faith. He loved boxing and karate shows, watching movies, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Kelly Wright; one daughter, Melinda (Tim) Bentley of Garrison; one son, Larry Morgan (Heather) Wright of Emerson; and a sister, Belva Mullins of South Shore. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Harr and Martha Gillum; and four brothers, Matthew Wright, James “Jim Crow” Wright, Orville “Skitter” Wright, and Mack Wright.
At the request of Henry’s family, there will be no service at this time.
