Herbert “Wayne” Brewer, 82, of Tollesboro, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at his home.
Wayne was born July 13, 1933, a son of the late Willard Ambrose and Flora Lovell Myers Brewer.
Wayne was a farmer and owner of Tollesboro BP.  He loved camping, bluegrass music, Nascar and UK. He was a Kentucky Colonel and was a member of Tollesboro Christian Church.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen Highlander Brewer; two daughters Patricia Wilson (Tommy) and Mary (John) Ginn, all of Tollesboro; six grandchildren Eric Wayne (Mary) Wilson, Tommy Bruce (Amity) Wilson Jr., Josh Lee (Amanda) Wilson, Franklin (Amy) Frye,  Marra Ginn Ruark, and Chad Ginn; five great-grandchildren Justin Gauge Wilson, Dustin Lee Wilson, Michaela Grace Frye, Kierston Ruark and Carson Ginn; one brother, Larry (Ruth) Brewer; one sister, Phyllis (Douglas) Harrison; a sister-in-law, Rosetta Brewer, all of Milford, Ohio; special nieces and nephews; a special friend, Gary “Flash” McClurg; and Wayne’s beloved dog, Casper.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Brewer.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Tollesboro Christian Church with Bro. Phil Cropper, Bro. Chuck Perry and Bro. Layne Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church  from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and from 8:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Boone-Nickell Funeral Home in Flemingsburg is caring for all arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056, or the charity of one’s choice.
