Hildreth Nirene Dummitt Stone, 97, of Winter Springs, Florida, formerly of Vanceburg, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018, at Brookdale Tuskawilla in Winter Springs, Florida.
She was born September 7, 1920, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late William Jesse and Ora Cooper Dummitt.
Hildreth was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting.
Hildreth is survived by one son, Bill Stone (Roberta) of Winter Springs, Florida; one daughter, Donna Cline (Roy) of Winter Springs, Florida; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Dale Dummitt (Colleen) of Maysville; one sister, Erma Hamilton of Greensburg, Indiana; and one sister-in-law, Karol Dummitt of Columbus, Ohio. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ancil Stone; one son, Johnny Stone; three brothers, William Quentin Dummitt, Rival Eugene Dummitt, and Edsel Dummitt; and one sister, Mabel Bloomfield.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg, with her son-in-law, Roy Cline, speaking. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2018, and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
