Jack Dean Evans, 66, of Wallingford, passed away Friday morning, July 1, 2016, at Hospice of Hope Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville.
He was born May 17, 1950, in Lewis County, a son of the late Ora and Dorothy Hyrne Evans.
Jack was of the Christian faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR, riding horses, archery, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Garry Ray Evans.
Jack is survived by his wife, Jonie Evans; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Orie and Sydona Evans of Camp Dix, and Buddy Evans of Henderson; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Shannon Despalo of Cold Springs, Colorado, Tammy Howard of Vanceburg, Taunya and Dan Pringle of Charlestown, Indiana, Jackie Lynn Evans of Henderson, and Adina and Ben Synder of Louisville; 26 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Charles Laster of Tollesboro; and one sister-in-law, Candy Evans of Vanceburg. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix with Bro. Jerry Bloomfield and Bro. Tony Corns officiating. Burial will be at Aills Cemetery on Quicks Run at the convenience of the family.
Friends may visit after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 7975 Lower Kinney Road.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
