John “Jack” Andrew Knapp of Vanceburg, formerly of Liverpool, New York, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the age of 74. He was born March 19, 1949, in Syracuse, New York, a son of the late Francis and Janice (Fineout) Knapp.
Jack loved his dogs, Rex and Lyla. He enjoyed race cars, tinkering around the house, and his family. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Prater of Vanceburg and Erika Hinman of Richmond; a brother, William A Knapp of Louisiana; four grandchildren, Maranda Hughes, Vance Dowling, Madison Prater, and Jacob Prater; and three nephews, Randy Knapp, William J Knapp, and Daniel Knapp. Many other family members and friends also survive who will miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marilyn Spencer Knapp; a sister, Elizabeth Knapp; and a brother, Robert (Liane) Knapp.
Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place.
