Jackie Ray McCann Sr., 66, of Tollesboro, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville.
He was born on Saturday, February 4, 1956, in Mason County, to the late Halbert and Rosalyn Hiltibrand McCann. Jackie was a “workaholic” who enjoyed working and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Jackie is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Martha Shumate McCann; two sons, David Ginn and Jackie Ray McCann Jr., both of Tollesboro; one daughter, Heather Waldron of Burlington; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Mark McCann of Tollesboro; one sister, Rhonda Truesdell of Ewing; along with a host of other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by one brother, Halbert McCann Jr.
Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2022, at Tollesboro Funeral Home, 11918 KY 57, Tollesboro with Bro. Darrin Hamilton officiating. Burial was in the Muses Chapel Cemetery in Lewis County.
David “Booger” Ginn Jr., Cody Henson, Joey Waldron, Gene “Big O” Applegate, Darrell “Ghostbuster” Fannin, and Bryan “Hilljack” Fetters served as pallbearers.
David “Rascall” Ginn and Billy “Goat” Spencer served as honorary pallbearers.
