James Killen

James Ray Killen, 58, of Garrison, passed away Friday morning, October 14, 2016, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, surround by his loving family.
He was born September 25, 1958, in Lewis County, a son of the late Omer and Violet McClurg Killen.
James enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, sitting on the front porch, and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Killen and Wayne Killen.
James is survived by his wife of 38 years, Karen Sue Moore Killen; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sara Killen of Bowling Green; a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Robert Cooper of Garrison; three grandchildren, Kyle Wayne Killen, Kinly Elizabeth Cooper, and Maxwell Alexander Killen; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Tom and Judy Killen and Pauline Killen, all of Vanceburg, and Earl Killen of Tollesboro; and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Clara McGlone of Vanceburg, and Wanda and Marty Strong of Garrison. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison with Bro. Charlie Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Waring Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2016, and until the service hour on Tuesday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue in Garrison.
Pallbearers will be Michael Killen, Kyle Wayne Killen, Marty Strong, John Moore, Bob Moore Jr., and Travis Killen.
