James Mosley

James Felden Mosley, 72, of Garrison, passed away Friday evening, April 2, 2021, with his loving family by his side.

He was born March 5, 1949, in Lewis County, a son of the late Russell and Eva Stone Mosley.

James was a self-employed logger and enjoyed raising chickens, squirrel hunting, going on rides, and spending time with his family.

James is survived by his wife of 49 years, Vanetta Pierce Mosley; two sons, Jeff Mosley (Mary) and David Mosley (Shonda) of Vanceburg; one daughter, Melissa Carver (Steve) of Quincy; one brother, Leon Mosley of Bucyrus, Ohio; three sisters, Geneva Soard and Linda Cook (Johnny) of Vanceburg, and Kay Cooper (Elwood) of Garrison; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Roger Mosley, Don Mosley, Russell Mosley, Charlie Mosley, and Rickey Mosley, and one sister, Virginia Bevens.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison with Bro. Tim Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Skidmore Cemetery at Garrison.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Mosley, Harold Cooper, Eddie Cooper Jr., David Mosley, Eddie Cooper, Nick Cooper, Aaron Staton, and Alan Ross.
