James Earl Pruitt, 75, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio.
James was born at Vanceburg on July 23, 1947, a son of the late Matt and Katherine Caseman Pruitt, and was a member of Route 7 Mission Church in Greenup.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Shirley Jane Young Pruitt; one son, Mark Anthony (Delta) Pruitt of Vanceburg; two brothers, Charles McGraw of West Union, Ohio, and Chester McGraw of Manchester, Ohio; three grandchildren, Linda Jane Heck, Dedrea (Michael) Scott, and Dustin Stone; five great-grandchildren; and close friend Pastor Tracy Howard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy McGraw.Â
There will be no services at this time.
Reed Funeral Home in Greenup is in charge of arrangements.
