On July 6, 2016, heaven opened its doors to welcome a great man home. Jamie Mullins went to live at God’s right hand. Jamie was 41, a native of Portsmouth, Ohio, who passed away unexpectedly. He was born August 14, 1974, in Portsmouth to Walter and Betty June (Pack) Mullins. In addition to his high school graduation in Lewis County, he also held an associate degree from Daymar. Jamie was a landscaper by profession and in his spare time enjoyed baseball and softball. He was nicknamed “Moe” and was the coach of the Fellowship Team at his church, the Church of God of the Mountain Assembly. More than anything, he loved to spend time with his wife and children.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy whom he married on February 23, 2008; one son, Steven Mullins of Lucasville, Ohio; five daughters, Ashley Cameron of New Boston, Ohio, Bailey Mullins of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Alexia Carter of Portsmouth, Abilynn Mullins of Portsmouth, Gracie Mullins of Portsmouth; mother, Betty June Pack of Firebrick; father, Walter (Bonnie) Mullins of Galion, Ohio; sister, Jennifer (Christopher) Erwin of Galion; step-brother, Matt Eusey of Galion; grandmother, Betty “NanNan” Pack of Wheelersburg; Grandma Loper of Sciotoville; aunt, Rhonda (Steve) Mashburn of Quincy; uncle Mick (Brenda) Pack of Wheelersburg; sisters-in-law, Shawna Scarberry of Wheelersburg, Becky (fiance Josh Laber) Allard of Franklin Furnace, Ohio; brothers-in-law, Larry (Kristi) Carter, Jr. of Portsmouth, Billy Allard of Columbus, Ohio; mother and father-in-law, Jeff and Diane Allard; father-in-law, Larry Carter Sr. of New Boston; many beloved nieces and nephews; CGMA church family; and all his wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Pack.
Services will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville, Ohio, with Pastor Brian Holbrook officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
