Janet Marie Haney Bloomfield, 81, of Vanceburg, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023, at her home.
She was born in Carter County on September 24, 1941, a daughter of the late Virgil and Mary Ellen Burchett Haney.
Janet enjoyed reading, working puzzles, working in the yard, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, William (Judy) Bloomfield of Vanceburg; two daughters, Lisa Dawn (Larry) Rose of Olive Hill and Amy J. Bloomfield of Vanceburg; one brother, Robert “Bob” Haney of Olive Hill; four sisters, Jo Ann (Wayne) Baker and Ruth Ann Wolfe of Olive Hill, Shirley Lewis of Hebron, and Patty (Jim) Carper of Carter City; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, William Hansel Bloomfield; three brothers, Bill Haney, Jim Haney, and Danny Haney; and two sisters, infant Hazel Haney and Teresa Lewis.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 7975 Lower Kinney Road at Camp Dix, with Bro. Jerry Bloomfield officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery at Head of Grassy.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2023, and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix.
