Rosa Jean Meadows Nolen, 72 , of Vanceburg, went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 27, 2023, at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was born in Greenup County on May 13, 1951, a daughter of the late Billy Abe and Margaret Irene Wood Meadows.
Jeannie was a member of Mt Zion Community Church and loved going to church. She enjoyed going out to eat and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, Homer Nolen; one daughter, Penny LeAnne Nolen of Vanceburg; one son, Barry (Angela) Nolen of Vanceburg; three brothers, Billy Anderson Meadows, Martin Robert (Sarah) Meadows, and James (Beverly) Meadows of South Shore; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mable Ruth Perkins and Orpha Meadows; one brother, Frank Richard Meadows; and one grandchild.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Tony Corns officiating. Burial will follow in Harr-Applegate Cemetery in Greenup County.
Friends may visit after 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Dickerson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Gary Darlington, Bobby McCane, Anthony Corns, David Corns, Ryan Nolen, Josh Darlington, and Matthew Darlington.
