Jessie Darrell McDaniel, 82, of Tollesboro, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at his home.
He was born September 22, 1942, in Carter County, a son of the late Drew T. and Anna Mae Burchett McDaniel.
He enjoyed riding his four-wheeler, loafing with friends, playing pool, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy Ruth Griffith McDaniel; two daughters, Jessie Lynn (James) Botkins of Vanceburg, and Tammy Patricia (Daniel) Stamper of Camp Dix; three sisters, Retha Gay and Martha McGlone of Olive Hill, and Bessie Legg of Mansfield, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Loretta Bevens; three sisters, Dolly Branaham, Myrtle Thomas, and Goldie Coleman; and five brothers, Walter McDaniel, Ben McDaniel, Bill McDaniel, Ted McDaniel, and Jim McDaniel.
Services will be at Noon Friday, April 11, 2025, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918, KY 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. Phil Cropper officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Garden of Memories in Mason County.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2025, and after 9:00 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2025, at Tollesboro Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be James Botkins, Daniel Stamper, Jonathon Bevens, Jeremy Bevens, Dylan Botkins, and Garrett Stamper.
