Jewell O’Brian Waller Clark, 98, of Vanceburg, passed away Friday evening, September 1, 2017, at Vanceburg Rehabilitation and Care Center.
She was born October 10, 1918, in Fleming County, a daughter of the late Arthur and Bessie Elizabeth McManus Waller.
Mrs. Clark was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church and enjoyed going to church, sitting on her front porch with her neighbors, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by five sons, Carl Clark (Carol) of Vanceburg, Ronald Dale Clark (Janie) of Quincy, Kenneth Clark of Vanceburg, Harold David Clark (Janice) of Charleston, South Carolina, and Mike Clark (Kathy) of Morehead; a stepson, Eugene Clark (Betty) of Petersville; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Maurice “Herman” Clark; one brother, Robert Waller; three sisters, Mamie Hatfield, Helen Claypool and Lucille Waller; one stepson, James Clark; and four stepdaughters, Louise Howell, Dorothy Marshall, Nellie Elliott, and Geneva Hollar.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with her son, Bro. Mike Clark, officiating. Burial will follow in Esham Cemetery on Ky. Rt. 344.
Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
