Jinx Jarrells

Our beloved father, Charles “Buddy/Jinx” Hobart Jarrells, passed away peacefully at his home on January 18, 2024.

Born July 5, 1952, in Maysville, he was a son of Charles “Krog” and Lorene “Dodie” Blake Jarrells.

Jinx was a 1970 graduate of Lewis County High School and was retired from the Hydro Electric Plant with the City of Hamilton, Ohio.

Survivors include three children, Matt Jarrells of Maysville, Amanda Mullins Bear of Lexington, and Kaleb Jarrells of Vanceburg; three grandchildren, Kyle Jarrells, Ayden Mullins, and Evan Mullins; a sister, Lena Ann Jarrells Fugate; sister-in-law, Sherrie Williamson; brother-in-law, Wilgus “Wig” Chinn, and brother-in-law, George Cooley.

Many nieces and nephews also survive who will miss their uncle “Buddy/Jinx.”

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lee Ellen Chinn, and his wife of 12 years, Lisa Williamson Jarrells.

At this time there will be no service. Gaydos Funeral Home in Vanceburg is caring for arrangements.
