Jody Blevins

Joseph Todd “Jody” Blevins, 53, of Vanceburg, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025. He was surrounded by his loving family.

He was born at Portsmouth, Ohio, on November 26, 1971, a son Deborah Tolle Blevins Thomas of Vanceburg and the late Willis Blevins Jr.

He was a lifelong logger and trucker, an occupation which he greatly enjoyed. Jody loved the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his mother, survivors include three daughters, Kayla Blevins (Josh) and Shianne Blevins of Vanceburg, and Alexis Blevins (Nicholas Lewis) of Morehead; a son, Joseph Todd “Jay” Blevins of Vanceburg; three sisters, Missy Blevins, Lonnetta (Travis) Cooper, and April (Nathaniel) McAdams; two brothers, Willis John (Pam) Blevins and Nelson (Kathy) Blevins; and one grandson, Maxwell A. Blevins, whom he adored. Several nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Lonnie “Ruford” Thomas.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Travis Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Black Oak Cemetery.

Friends may visit after 9:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Dickerson Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be George Riffe, Jake Moore, Randy Taulbee, Ricky Wayne, Jay Zornes, and Jackie Wayne Blevins.
