John B. Seagraves, 83, of Olive Hill, went to be with the Lord, Monday evening, January 13, 2020, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
He was born December 31, 1936, at Hitchins, a son of the late John William and Myrtle Blevins Seagraves.
John was of the United Baptist faith and he was an ordained minister for 47 years.
John is survived by his wife of 21 years, Annabelle Driscoll Webb Seagraves; two sons, Greg Seagraves (Carla) of Dayton, Ohio, and Mike Seagraves (Becky) of Franklin, Ohio; one stepson, Blaine Webb of Olive Hill; one stepdaughter, Linda Stone (Hertis Jr.) of Lucas, Ohio; one brother, Ernest Seagraves of Grayson; one grandson, Jonathan Seagraves of Dayton, Ohio; one great-grandchild, Fin Seagraves of Dayton, Ohio; four step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; and five step great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by four brothers, James Ralph Seagraves, Lloyd Seagraves, Orville Seagraves, and Woodie Seagraves; and one sister, Dorothy Branam.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2020, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Bro. Paul Webb and Bro. Tim Porter officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery at Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2020, and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60 at Olive Hill.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
