Johnny Ray Kegley, 71, of Garrison, passed away Saturday morning, June 1, 2019, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville.

He was born February 20, 1948, in Lewis County, a son of the late Julius and Marie Bryant Kegley.

Johnny was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed gardening, farming, logging, telling stories and spending time with everyone.

Johnny is survived by one son, Johnny Ray Kegley II (Heather) of Vanceburg; one daughter, Lisa Fannin (Billy) of Vanceburg; two grandchildren, Wyatt Fannin and Coalton Fannin; one great-grandson, Ryker Fannin; one sister, Irene Rose (Mike) of Vanceburg; one brother-in-law, Felix Goodin Jr. of Vanceburg; and one sister-in-law, Sharon Kegley of Vanceburg. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Everret Kegley Jr. and William Glen Kegley; two sisters, Lillie Goodwin and Inez Harris; and one nephew, Anthony Wayne Kegley.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2019, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Tony Corns officiating. Burial will follow in Conley Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2019, and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.

Pallbearers will be Wyatt Fannin, Harold Roe, Coalton Fannin, Billy Kegley, Billy Fannin and Boe Kegley. David Goodwin will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
