Jonathan Ulysses Thurman, 37, of Vanceburg, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023, in Lewis County as the result of a logging accident.
He was born August 13, 1986, in Mason County, a son of Kindell Thurman Sr. of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Marlene Mae Coalgrove Thurman of Vanceburg.
He enjoyed working, going ginseng hunting, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his loving wife, Brittany Blevins Thurman; two daughters, Madison Thurman and Alexis Thurman of Vanceburg; five sons, Braydon Thurman, Robert Thurman, and Richard Thurman of Vanceburg, and Jocktan Thurman and Kindell Thurman of Kenton, Ohio; two sisters, Stella Coalgrove of Lexington and Susan Thurman of Vanceburg; and two brothers, Kindell Thurman Jr. of Wallingford and Jason Thurman of Manistee, Michigan. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
Services will be at 6:00 p.m. Monday, October 16, 2023, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Joe Watson officiating.
