Joyce Pauline Gilbert Meyers, 68 of Georgetown, formerly of Petersville, passed away, Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at her residence.
Born July 22, 1947, at Oak Ridge, to the late Wilbur Waldo Gilbert and Violet Pollitt Gilbert, she was a retired baker and cook, and member of the Petersville Church of God.
Mrs. Meyers is survived by her son, James Brian (Jacqueline) Meyers; a daughter, Carla Dawn Lambson; three grandchildren, Mychaelia, Jeanace and Daniel; a great-grandchild, Dominik; two brothers, Sam Gilbert and Butch Gilbert; five sisters, Lula Cox, Bonnie Hylander, Faye Wilson, Janet Bell and Pat Mabry; several nieces and nephews; and host of other family members.
Services will be Monday, April 11, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at Petersville Church of God with Bro. Milt Stanfield officiating. Burial will follow in Esham Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Monday.
