Juanita Mae Hyrne, 95, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Celebration Villa of Crestview Hills.
She was born at Poplar Flat on August 29, 1930, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Nellie Garrett Thoroughman. Juanita attended business school and worked for First National Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, gardening, and canning.Â
She was an active member of the PTO in Gleneste, Ohio, and loved to travel with her husband, David. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Independence and was raised in Mt. Tabor and Bethel churches at Ribolt. Juanita played piano and was an organist at Grace Baptist Church in Independence.
Survivors include a sister, Dianne Hill of Ribolt, and a brother, Jim Thoroughman of Covington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Leon Hyrne; a daughter, Valerya Hyrne; two brothers, Hillis Thoroughman and Gayle Thoroughman; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Thoroughman and Thelma Thoroughman; and a brother-in-law, James Hill.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Mt. Tabor Church at Ribolt with Bro. Samuel Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Tabor Church.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
