Judy Gail McRoberts Carver, 76, of Vanceburg, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born in Lewis County on January 4, 1947, a daughter of the late Arvil Douglas “Doug” and Norma Rosena Kegley McRoberts.
Judy was a member of Vanceburg First Baptist Church for 55 years. She enjoyed reading, going out to eat, working word search puzzles, watch UK Basketball, watching crime shows and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her loving husband of 44 years, Maurice Ray Carver; one son Derrick Paul (Leslie) Carver of Tampa, Florida; one sister, Donna (Kenneth) Carver of Vanceburg; and three grandchildren, Nathaniel Paul Carver, Derrick Paul (Paulie) Carver, and Wesley Digiuseppe. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Dr. Howard Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023, and after 11:00 a.m. Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Dickerson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Kerry Theiss, Mark Hunt, Brad Grigson, Caleb Bolander, Ray Bivens, and Larry Kegley.
