Judy Kay McGinnis, 71, of Wallingford, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Pioneer Trace Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
Born at Wallingford on November 25, 1951, her father was the late Walter Lee Howell and her mother was the late Myrtle Louise Clark Howell.
Judy was a homemaker and farmer. She was a member of Petersville Church of Christ where she also belonged to their Women’s Group.
Judy is survived by her husband, Freddy Lee McGinnis; her two daughters, Misty (Joe Dunaway) Holbrook and Amanda (Jeremy) Thomas; three siblings, Arnold Ray (Judy) Howell, Jackie Wayne (Loretta) Howell, and Connie Sue (Fred) Carpenter; nine grandchildren, Kodie Zuschlag, Cameron (Maddie) Zuschlag, Carley (Taylor) Dunaway, Mason Wild, Alivia Wild, Levi Thomas, Rayleigh Thomas, Maddox Thomas, and Cole Rager; and one great-grandchild, Josie Zuschlag. Several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends also survive who will mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray “Calhoun” Thurman; a brother, Ronald Lee “Joe” Howell; and a sister, Roberta “Bertie” Prater.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Petersville Church of Christ with Bro. Arnold Howell and Bro. Tom Mitchell officiating.
Judy will be laid to rest in Esham Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, at the church.
Pallbearers include Dink Crawford, Albert Stamm, Joe Dunaway, Colton King, Brent Earls, and Dean Moore.
