Julia Edington Stidham, 81, of Garrison, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born in Lewis County on August 7, 1941, a daughter of the late Robert Bruce and Lizzie Buckner Edington.
Julia was a member of Wright’s Chapel and loved singing in church, having served as song leader for many years. In earlier years, she enjoyed horseback riding.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth Logan of Morehead; several nieces and nephews; and her church family and friends. Julia will be greatly missed by all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, William Stidham; two sons, Brian Stidham and Michael Stidham; two sisters, Leona Swim Edington and Jeannie Stone; and two brothers, Roy Lee Edington and Coy James Edington.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2024, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison, with Bro. Clarence Hall and Bro. Larry Joe Madden officiating. Burial will follow in Skidmore Cemetery.
Friends may visit after Noon Friday, November 22, 2024, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison.
Julia’s church brothers will serve as pallbearers.
