Junior Lee Hollar, 87, of Vanceburg, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Junior was born in Fleming County on April 4, 1936, a son of the late John Daniel and Lena W. Beckett Hollar.
Junior was a lifelong farmer and had also worked for Hildermyer Tree Nursery. He attended Petersville Church of God and Heselton Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memories are a sister, Mary Ann (John) Evans of Salt Lick, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen McRoberts, Christine Karrick, and Shirley Stanfield; and a brother, Eugene Hollar.
Services will be at Noon Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg, with Pastor David Hickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Mineer Cemetery at Foxport.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Gaydos Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Nelson Kielman, Robert Thurman, Kyle Bloomfield, Nathaniel Thurman, and Dave Stewart.
