Justeen Cole Bentley, 79, of Garrison, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
She was born November 10, 1937, in Melvin, a daughter of the late Elbert and Sarah Caudill Cole.
Justeen was a member of the South Shore Old Regular Baptist Church and enjoyed working puzzles, cooking, doing charity work, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Justeen is survived by one son, Charles Creed Bentley (Lisa) of Garrison; three grandchildren, Charles Wayne Bentley, Elizabeth Bentley, and Amanda Brothers; four great-grandchildren, Cameron Bentley, Isabella Martin, Ean Riggs, and Lucas Brothers; two brothers, Russell Cole (Mary) of South Portsmouth, and William McKinley Cole (Margaret) of Garrison; and one sister, Naomi Braden of Monroe, Michigan. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of four years, Charles Beecher Bentley; one son, Michael Wayne Bentley; four brothers, Andy Cole, Londy Cole, Estil Cole, and Leonard Cole; and three sisters, Vada Tackett, Arizona Tackett, and Ada Thornsberry.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at the South Shore Old Regular Baptist Church with Elder Edward Lee Smith and Elder Chester Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Soldier Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2017, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue in Garrison and after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at the South Shore Old Regular Baptist Church.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
