Kathern Elaine “Flo” Adkins, 62, of Vanceburg, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born in Lewis County on August 2, 1959, a daughter of the late Edward Adkins and Wilma Jane Lawson McCane.
Kathern was of the Christian faith and had worked for US Shoe Corporation. She enjoyed watching movies, playing cards, listening to country music, and spending time with family and friends.
Kathern is survived by two brothers, Roger Duane McCane (Melissa) of Vanceburg, and Terry Johnson (Rhonda) of St. Paul, and four sisters, Janet Fraley (Winfred) of Garrison, Joyce Bentley (Danny) of Black Oak, Vonda Clark of Vanceburg, and Regina Cullum (Jerry) of West Portsmouth, Ohio. A host of other family members and friends also survive who will sadly mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Donald Edward Adkins, Randall Wayne Adkins, Eric Thomas McCane, Ronald Ray Adkins, and John Allen Adkins, and a sister, Rita Fraley.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Chris Lawhun officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
Friends may from 12:30 p.m. until the service hour Sunday at the funeral home.
