Kathy A. Caldwell, 74, of Garrison, passed away peacefully at the home of her son in Grayson Monday, March 25, 2024, after an extended illness.
Kathy was born December 24, 1949, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a daughter of the late Patrick Herbert and Betty Jane Wilcoxon Williamson.
Kathy worked for US Shoe Corporation in Vanceburg for over 20 years. She loved playing BINGO and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Kathy was of the Pentecostal faith.
Left to cherish Kathy’s memories are her husband of 57 years, Roger Caldwell, whom she married January 9, 1967, in Vanceburg; three daughters, Kyra Zornes of Vanceburg, and Shonda Faye (David) Mosley and Kailee Caldwell of Garrison; one son, Chris (Deanna) Caldwell of Grayson; a sister, Debra (Jackie) Tumlin of Vanceburg; 13 grandchildren; and 13-great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Prater; a brother, Steve Williamson; and a son-in-law, Timothy “Pork” Zornes.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Patrick Tumlin officiating. Burial will follow in Waring Cemetery at Garrison.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2024, and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at Gaydos Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Devan Walters, Kyle Caldwell, John Zornes, Matthew Zornes, Christopher Caldwell, and Timothy Caldwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryson Jenkins, Blaine Cooley, Cameron Caldwell, and Camden Bertram.
