Kathy Herdon Hillard, 73, of Wallingford, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022, at her home.
She was born March 30, 1949, in Wayne County, Michigan, a daughter of the late Jerry and Ruby Roberson Herdon.
Kathy was of the Baptist faith. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed taking care of her pets, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, James Howard Hillard; two sons, James Howard (Beth) Hillard Jr. of Morehead, and Franklin Duane (Michelle) of Ann Arbor, Michigan; two grandchildren, Kegan Hillard and Sheldon Hillard; and one sister, Shirley Herdon of Wallingford. A host of other family members and friends also survive who will sadly mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry Herdon, Franklin Herdon, and Edward Herdon, and four sisters, Christine Shaffer, Imogene Pollock, Joyce Ann Miller, and Carolyn Eaves.
Services will be at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Sister Angela Jackson officiating.
