Kay Cooper

Carolyn Kay Mosley Cooper, 67, of Garrison, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

She was born in Lewis County on January 3, 1955, a daughter of the late Russell and Eva Stone Mosley.

Kay was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Harold Elwood Cooper; one son, Harold “Hammer” (Tiffany) Cooper of Garrison; five grandchildren, Frankie (JoAnna) Witten, Ashley (Coty) Dermon, Brittany Witten, Whitney (Paul) Powell, and Zeb Bevens; seven great-grandchildren, Myley Mustard, Layton Mustard, Brody Dermon, Mason Dermon, Tate Powell, Adaline Witten, and Bronson Witten; and one sister, Linda (Johnny) Cook of Vanceburg.

In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by three children, Dusty Cooper, Josh Cooper, and Renee Witten; two great-granddaughters, Reagan Witten and Ryleigh Witten; seven brothers, Russell Mosley, Roger Mosley, Charlie Mosley, Don Mosley, James Mosley, Leon Mosley, and Ricky Mosley; and two sisters, Virginia Bevens, and Geneva Soard.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue in Garrison, with Bro. Travis Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow in Skidmore Cemetery at Garrison.

Friends may visit after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Globe Family Funeral Capel at Garrison.

Pallbearers will be Elwood Cooper, Paul Powell, Frankie Witten, Coty Dermon, Leonard Mason, and Harold Cooper.
