Kenneth Carroll, 78, of Vanceburg, passed away, Sunday, February 13, 2022, at his home following an extended illness.
Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Kenneth managed his illness with strength and grace and wanted to spend as much time with loved ones as possible. On his final day, he was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
He was born in Lewis County on March 1, 1943, a son of the late Maurice and Edith (Wilcox) Carroll.
Kenneth worked with US Shoe Corporation for over 30 years and was with the Lewis County School System for more than five years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing music.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 59 years, Millie “Ruth” Nolen Carroll; two sons, Allen (Sabrina) Carroll and Kenneth “Duane” Carroll; two daughters, Ronda (Steve) Stone and Pamela (Gary “Buck”) Carroll; two brothers, Craig (Etta) Carroll and Mark (Regina) Carroll; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by five brothers, Wayne, Milton, Edwin, Lonnie, Gary, and Patrick “Pat” Carroll
Services will be at Noon Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Tony Corns officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black oak.
Friends may visit after at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Dickerson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be David, Brandon, Daniel, Steve, Ashton, and Stevie.
