Kenneth Eugene Cooley, 76, of Vanceburg, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born September 10, 1946, in Lewis County, a son of the late Harlan and Alice Colemire Cooley.
Kenneth enjoyed gardening, fishing, and playing with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 39 years, Shirley Mason Cooley; one son, Dewayne Cooley of Tollesboro; one daughter, Kimberly Irwin of Vanceburg; one stepson, Michael Irwin of Tollesboro; two stepdaughters, Cassidy Truesdell of Georgetown and Lisa Irwin of Germantown; three sisters, Frances Browning and Barbara Briely of Maysville, and Rosemary Buchannan of Washington; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Caleb Valerio.
At Kenneth’s request there will be no service at this time. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
