Kenneth Mose Smith, 68, of Vanceburg, passed away Saturday November 5, 2016, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.

He was born July 14, 1948, in Fleming County, a son of the late William Elwood and Arneda Pearl Stacy Smith.

Kenneth was a member of Union Baptist Church and was a life-long farmer and logger. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding four-wheelers, and spending time setting on the front porch of their cabin with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Randal Gayle Smith and Charles Smith.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 44 years, Brenda Kegley Smith; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Eldon and Christine Smith of Vanceburg, and Patricia and Frank Schneider of Higginsport, Ohio; two sisters, Mary Cooper of Flemingsburg, and Kathy Rumford of Maysville; and special nieces and nephews, Brenda Kissick, Wilma Logan, Earsel McCleese Jr., Tammy Bradford, Crystal Zornes, Cheyanne Zornes, Payton Zornes, Brandy Stanley, Casey Shey, Ashley Bradford, Chris Cooper, Greg Cooper, Josh Coopers, Meme Cooper, Bennett Reis Cooper, and Quention Cooper. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Union Baptist Church on Ky. Rt. 344 with Bro. Joe Watson officiating. Burial will follow in McEldowney Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg and after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Union Baptist Church.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
