Larry Robert Fannin, 72, of Vanceburg, passed away Monday, August 5, 2019, at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville.
He was born October 19, 1946, in Lewis County, a son of the late Thurman Robert and Millie Bloomfield Fannin.
Larry worked for Reinhardt and Lang Trucking Company for over 40 years and helped establish the Black Oak Fire Department in 1984, serving as fire chief. He enjoyed loafing, riding four wheelers, hunting, fishing and talking to his friends.
Larry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Connie Hobbs Fannin; one daughter, Sara Fannin of Vanceburg; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice and Danny Hronek of Vanceburg, and Bonnie and Bill Spencer of Laurel. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Mellony Fannin and one sister, Sandy Fannin.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Tony Corns and Bro. Kevin Cornett officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens.
Friends may visit from 10:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
