Larry Douglas Fearis, 79, of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.
He was born December 13, 1945, in Lewis County, a son of the late Harry and Estile Evans Fearis.
Larry attended Hickory Grove Christian Holiness Church. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, watching TV, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Judy Moreland Fearis; one daughter, Cheri Gay (Jim) Chandler of Maysville; one son, Gary Dean (Christie) Fearis of Savannah, Georgia; two sisters, Carolyn June Wills and Vickie Lynn Switzer of Vanceburg; and five grandchildren, Gregory Green, Joshua Chandler, Justin Chandler, Brooks Gulley, and Tyler Fearis. Many other family members and friends also mourn his passing.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. Charlie Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery on Cabin Creek.
Visitation will be after 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Justin Chandler, Joshua Chandler, Tyler Fearis, Gregory Green, Jamie Mitchell, and Ryan Wills.
