Larry James Johnson, 67, of Garrison, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio.
He was born May 4, 1957, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late John Henry and Dixie Juanita Keeton Johnson.
Larry enjoyed working on cars, trucks, and equipment, grilling out, camping, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Annette Brown Johnson; three daughters, Angela (Robert) Hoover of Lucasville, Ohio, Annie Sue Johnson (Daniel Mustain) of West Portsmouth, Ohio, and Christine Johnson of Garrison; two sons, Boyd James Johnson and John Henry Johnson Jr. (Libby) of Garrison; two sisters, Donna Fletcher of Sciotoville, Ohio, and Dixie Vulgamore of Lucasville, Ohio; one brother, Billy Ray Johnson, of Bucyrus, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and the Stamper Boys, whom he considered as brothers. Many other family memmbers and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Evans and Mary Mollett; two brothers, Gary Johnson and Mike Johnson; and one great-grandson, Milo Hoover.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison. Burial will follow in Crystal Dawn Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison.
Pallbearers will be Boyd James Johnson, John Johnson, Scott Owens, Joey Shultz, Richard Weaver, Joe Stamper, Josh Arthurs, and Joey Owens.
