Larry Dean Kinney, 81, of Tollesboro, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born January 20, 1944, at Charters, a son of Rueben Kinney and Pauline Harrison Kinney.
Larry was employed with US Shoe for 34 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed raising plants in his greenhouse, and loved farming. He loved the Lord and his family with all his heart.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Linda Iery Kinney; one daughter, Krista (Paul) Lang of Flemingsburg; one son, Kyle (Angela) Kinney of Greenup; two sisters, Connie Kinney and Paulette (Doug) Pugh of Vanceburg; seven grandchildren, Kara (Sean) Sapp, Logan (Jacob) Grate, Brooklynn (Trace) Claxon, Garrett Kinney, Carter Kinney, Holly (Cody) Dunaway, and Ethan (Mckenna) Lang; and 11 great-grandchildren, Kynzee, Leland, Phoenix, Rafe, Henry, Halden, Emery, Austin, Elijah, Charlie Rae, and Eden. Many other family and friends also mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Kinney, and a granddaughter, Kylee Morgan “Bella” Kinney.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2025, at Tollesboro Funeral Home with Bro. David Phelps officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Garden of Memories.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Monday at Tollesboro Funeral Home.
