Larry Michael “Buddy” Goodwin Jr., 39, of Vanceburg, passed away Tuesday morning, June 14, 2016, at Black Oak.
He was born November 17, 1976, in Mason County, a son of Larry Michael Goodwin Sr. of Vanceburg, and Lois Ann Kirshbaum Goodwin of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Buddy was employed by Maysville Materials and loved rabbit hunting, deer hunting, four-wheeling, and spending time outdoors with family, especially his children.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Richard Goodwin.
In addition to his parents, survivors include three sons, Christopher Dillon Gilbert of Fleming County, Dolton Goodwin of Garrison, and Brayden Thurman of Black Oak; three daughters, Shawnta Crandell of Wallingford, Beth Crandell of Garrison, and Madison Thurman of Black Oak; a brother, Michael Goodwin of Vanceburg; three sisters, Christina Michelle Goodwin of Miami, Florida, Jessica McGowan of Vanceburg, and Kayla Erfurth of Louisville; his companion, Christine Thurman of Vanceburg; and a very special grandmother, Lois Heartman of Mt. Orab, Ohio. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. John Byard officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Garden of Memories at Plumville.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016, and until the service hour on Sunday at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
