Lena Hartley Kamer, 73, of Garrison, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 13, 2017, at her home.
She was born September 30, 1943, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Roy and Julia Marie Bloomfield Hartley.
Lena was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, camping, canning, gardening, fishing, hunting, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Lena is survived by four daughters, Beverly Jamison (Rick) of Carter City, Norma Francia (Robie Bentley) of Garrison, Marlena Kimbler (Bret) of Firebrick, and Donna Kamer (Chester Flinders) of Garrison; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thurman Hartley of Argillite, and Marvin Hartley of Lucasville, Ohio; and one sister, Ethel Collins of Garrison. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Norman Kamer; a granddaughter, Lois Ramey; three brothers, Vernon Hartley, Elza Hartley, and Don Hartley; and three sisters, her twin sister, Lillia Mae Hartley, Laura Mae Strausbaugh, and Helen Francis Hartley.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison with Bro. Oval Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Waring Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017, and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue in Garrison.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
