Lesley Howard

Lesley D. Howard, 73, of Vanceburg, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center Kenton Pointe, Maysville following an extended illness.
Lesley was born in Lewis County, September 8, 1942, to the late Lesley and Iva Jene Hill Howard. He worked for the Crown Steel Company in Lorain, Ohio, for 25 years. He loved to go fishing and hiking. He was a member of the Church of God in Black Oak. He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Linda Clark Howard, whom he married October 3, 1964, in Lewis County; two sons, Douglas Leon (Christy) Howard and Matthew (Sarah) Howard, both of Vanceburg; one sister, Betty (Gary) Carver of Vanceburg; one brother, Danny (Linda) McGowan of Vanceburg; and special friend, Jennings Lewis of Vanceburg. Eight grandchildren also survive who will mourn his passing.
Services were at Noon Friday, January 22, 2016, at  Gaydos Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Larry Abbott and Bro. Clint Doolittle officiating. Burial was in Black Oak Cemetery.
