William Leslie Kamer, 80, of Garrison, passed away Monday, October 31, 2022, at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation.
He was born in Lewis County on July 6, 1942, a son of the late Willard and Martha Lacy Kamer.
Leslie was a member of Bivens Chapel where he served as a deacon for many years. He enjoyed going to church, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include one son, William Leslie Kamer Jr. and his wife, Georgeann of Tollesboro; one daughter, Glenna Dian Kamer Lewis of White Hall, Ohio; four grandchildren, Ethan (Amber) Kamer, Lacy (Gabe) Standley, Parker (Hannah) Kamer, and Katelyn (Gage) Yates; one great-granddaughter, Margaret Joy Kamer; one brother, Ronnie (Cathy) Kamer of Pickerington, Ohio; two brothers-in-law, Howard Green of White Hall, Ohio, and Roger (Geneva) Rowe of Vanceburg; and a sister-in-law, Clara Kamer of Garrison. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Beatrice Joyce Rowe Kamer; one grandson, Adam Lewis; three brothers, Donald Kamer, Edward Kamer, and Herbert Kamer; three sisters, Carol Kamer, Carolyn Kamer, and Joyce Green; and a son-in-law, Mitchell Lewis.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Bivens Chapel in Garrison with Bro. Calvin Green and Bro. Blake Bivens officiating. Burial will follow in Waring Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Bivens Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Kamer, Parker Kamer, Gage Yates, Gabe Standley, Rick Kamer, Jeff Kamer, and Keith Kamer.
