Lester Lee Griffitt, age 65, of Tollesboro, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Mercy Health – Clermont Hospital in Batavia, Ohio.
He was born in Lewis County on May 15, 1958, a son of the late Lewis Thomas and Zelma Toller Griffitt.
Lester enjoyed mowing grass, car races, motorcycles, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Amanda Jill Buckler of Fleming County; two sons, Scotty Griffitt and Michael Griffitt of Tollesboro; Â four sisters, Helen Whisman and Lillie Whisman of Morehead, Ruth McDaniel of Tollesboro, and Lucille Butler of Vanceburg; one brother, Chester Griffitt of Tollesboro; five grandchildren; and a very special friend, Jennifer Griffitt. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Maurice Griffitt, Lewis Griffitt, and Marvin Griffitt.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. Phil Cropper officiating. Burial will follow in Griffitt Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Pallbearers will be Derick Mauk, Derek Buckler, Scotty James Griffitt, Scotty Lee Griffitt Jr., Adam Buckler, and Jackson Whittaker.
