Lester Douglas Jordan, 88, of Vanceburg, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, at his home.
He was born July 16, 1935, in Lewis County, a son of the late William and Anna Belle Conley Jordan.
Lester was of the Christian faith and enjoyed hunting, working on cars, and visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Yvonne Kay Sexton Jordan; one daughter, Lori (Ray) Ervin of Garrison; four sons, Robert (Karina) Jordan of Camp Dix, Mark Jordan (Vivian Shaw) of Berea, Aaron (Mindy) Jordan of Jeffersonville, and Matthew (Karen) Jordan of Vanceburg; 13 grandchildren, Jacob Jordan, Lee Jordan, Ryan Lykins, Dalton Jordan, Clay Jordan, Austin Ervin, Eden Jordan, Sydney Ervin, Wesley Jordan, Kyle Jordan, Joey Jordan, Abby Jordan, and Parker Jordan; and three great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Douglas “Dee Jay” Jordan; three sisters, Edith Lewis, Emma Grau, and Marjorie Thompson; and five brothers, John Jordan, Tom Jordan, Bruce Jordan, William Jordan, and and infant brother, Herbert Jordan; .
Friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix.
Burial will be at a later date in Jordan Memorial Cemetery at Camp Dix.
