As part of his commitment to connect every home and business in Kentucky to affordable, reliable high-speed internet Gov. Andy Beshear announced a record $386 million investment to expand access in 46 counties, bringing high-speed internet access to more than 42,600 Kentucky homes and businesses for the first time.
Lewis County is among today’s recipients with Gov. Beshear presenting $17,191,102 in grant funding toward a total project budget of $27,848,781 for Spectrum to extend service to 2,121 underserved and no service homes and businesses in the county.
“On behalf of the good citizens of Lewis County, thank you Gov. Beshear, thank you Lt. Governor, thank you Rocky Adkins, thank you Spectrum. We really appreciate you,” said Judge Executive George Sparks in formally accepting the grant during the capitol press conference.
