Lillian Barrett Zornes, 90, of Emerson, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lewis County on May 3, 1935, a daughter of the late Elmo Barrett and Donald and Jessie Stander Barrett Buckner.
Lillian was of the Christian faith and loved singing and listening to gospel music. She enjoyed going to KFC, fishing, keeping her fingernails pretty, and spending time with her family—especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Butler of Emerson; three brothers, Carl Angel, Walt Buckner, and Paul Buckner of Bucyrus, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Many other family members, friends, and neighbors also mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Clayton Zornes; two sons, Roger Roe and Greg Zornes; three sisters, Darlene Nolen, Katherine Groves, and Carolyn Collins; a brother, Raymond Angel; and three grandchildren, Felicia Roe and two infants.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 7975 Lower Kinney Road at Camp Dix, with Bro. Monroe Craig and Bro. Terry Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery at Head of Grassy.
Visitation will be after 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix.
Pallbearers will be Nick Butler, Gregory Zornes, Brian Roe, Michael Roe, Jason Roe, Chris Butler, Hunter Haile, and Cameron Beckett.
