Linda Lee Gibson Cooley, 60, of Vanceburg, passed away Tuesday morning, January 10, 2017 at Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg.
She was born February 5, 1956, in Galion, Ohio, a daughter of the late James and Corine Hollan Gibson.
Linda was a member of May’s Lick Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Eddie Cooley; two sons, Charles Hall (Eva Wilburn) and C.J. Hall (Desaka), all of Garrison; a special daughter-in-law, Cindy Corns of Vanceburg; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, James Gibson (Kathy) of Bucyrus, Ohio, and Emory Gibson of Brooksville; two sisters, Myrtle Miller (James) of May’s Lick, and Brenda Thurman (Kindell) of Vanceburg; three godchildren, Mary Lawhun, Joseph Lawhun, and Michael Lawhun; and a special friend whom she thought of as a sister, Goldie Meadows. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2017, at the Cedar Grove Cemetery on Holly Road with Bro. Tony Corns officiating.
