Linda Roten

Linda Gail Stafford Roten, 76, wife of Kenneth Lee Roten, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022.

She was born July 30, 1946, at Vanceburg, to the late Ralph and Dorothy Scott Stafford.

She worked for Kentucky State Government as an Executive Secretary. Linda was an active Servant of the Lord and was a member of Peaks Mill Christian Church. Quilting was passed down through the generations in Linda’s family, she was a member of several different quilting clubs and she loved to teach others how to quilt, knit, and sew. Linda enjoyed making prayer shawls for people in hospitals and nursing homes. She was very active, never stopped, and loved doing things for other people.

In addition to her husband of 57 years, she is survived by her sons, Kendall (Jennifer Hicks) Roten of Frankfort and Keith (Amber) Roten of Texas; her sister, Rachel (Mike) Edington of Vanceburg; her sister-in-law, Karen Stafford; her grandchildren, James Kyle (Robert Roethmeyer III) Roten, Shara (Zach) Mason, Dorsey Roten, and Aeryn Roten; and her great-grandchild, Amelia Wren Mason.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Don Stafford.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd., Frankfort, with Bro. Ronnie McKinney officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
