Linda Sue Wills Lanthorn, 73, of Maysville, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Hospice of Hope Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lewis County on October 29, 1951, a daughter of the late Albert McCabe and Naomi Mae Mason Wills.
Linda was a member and secretary of Mt. Tabor Church. She loved Jesus, attending church, and studying her Bible. She enjoyed playing Pay Me with her husband and sisters, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 12 years, David Lanthorn; a daughter, Shawna (Jeff) Irvin of Maysville; two sons, Stanley Mineer of Maysville and David (Rainee) Lanthorn of Covington; four sisters, Norma Cansler of Aberdeen, Ohio, Wilma Hargett of Maysville, and Janet (Robert) Parker and Betty Jo (Herbie) Jordan of Vanceburg; five grandchildren, Johnathon Mineer, ShaDawn Cropper, Kelsey Greene, MaKayla “Tater” Comer, and Carrie Anne Bennett; and four great-grandchildren, JJ, Natalie, Emerson, and Kenley.
She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Velma Gaffin and Cheryl Mason, and one grandson, Christopher Donald Mineer.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. Sam Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Garden of Memories.
Visitation will be after 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Mineer, Johnathon Mineer, Jonathan Cropper, Bryson Bennett, Kenton Comer, and Joseph Greene.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Irvin, Jimmy Teegarden, and David Lanthorn Jr.
