Linda Sue Polley

Linda Sue Flinders Polley, 73, of, Vanceburg, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021, at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born May 7, 1948, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Avis Smith Flinders.

Linda was of the Christian Faith. She enjoyed sewing, writing quotes from the Bible, watching TV, talking on the phone, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by two sons, Danny (Brenda) Polley and Tommy (Sheila) Polley of Vanceburg; one daughter, Avis (Howard) Swim of Vanceburg; six brothers, Wayne Flinders, Jerry Flinders, Glenn Flinders, Lynn Flinders, Harlan Flinders, and Billy Flinders, all of Vanceburg; five sisters, Brenda Polley, Mary Caseman, Lillie Cooper, and Lori Wright, all of Vanceburg, and Carolyn Underwood of Tollesboro; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother and two sisters, Beatrice Polley and Evelyn “Tilly” Bear.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Muses Chapel Cemetery on Quicks Run with Bro. Danny Butler officiating.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Polley Jr., Nicholas Swim, Brad Polley, Bradley Polley, Levi Polley, and Garrett Polley.

Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg is caring for all arrangements.
