Lois Rister Fraley, 81, of Vanceburg, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Hospice of Hope in Maysville.
She was born in Greenup County on April 11, 1942, a daughter of the late Finley and Annabelle Wilburn Rister.
Lois was a member of Lloyd Ridge Pentecostal Church of God and loved going to church. She enjoyed playing with children, baking, and hosting family dinners.
Survivors include two sons, Mikel Fraley of Columbus, Ohio, and Jerry Fraley of Sciotoville, Ohio; two daughters, Linda Cassidy of South Shore, and Frances Oreta of Greenup; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many who claimed her as their grandmother. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Milton Harold Fraley Sr.; two sons, Terry Fraley and Milton Harold Fraley Jr.; one granddaughter, Michelle Roberts Fraley; five brothers, Jessie Rister, Everett Rister, Vernon Rister, Limon Rister, and Earnest Rister; and three sisters, Lucy Wilburn, Ruth Gipson, and Molly Rister.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2023, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison, with Bro. Mark Cassidy and Bro. Anthony Rister officiating. Burial will follow in Dummitt Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit after 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2023, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
